Olive terraces, vine rows and the pale thread of a farm road are the work of centuries of hands, and the light of a Tuscan evening falls on a composition that people made and have maintained ever since.

Shot on location around Montepulciano, in the hill country of southern Tuscany, this series works at the long horizontal hour, when low sun rakes across cultivated slopes and separates every terrace, row and ridgeline into its own plane of depth. Voyant's standard of a deep anchor holds here in the shadowed groves, pushing the illuminated grasses and far hills into luminance. Captured at extreme resolution, the texture of olive leaf, dry grass and worked earth is preserved with technical precision.
